Colisee continues its development in Italy with 2 new nursing homes in Lombardy
Colisée is taking a further step in its development in Italy with two new nursing homes located in Lombardy.
The first residence (86 beds) is opening following the restoration of an existing building in the town center of Legnano. The second residence, bought recently, has 114 beds and is located in Cerro Maggiore. Both towns are part of the metropolitan city of Milan. These two nursing homes fit perfectly Colisée’s demanding quality standards, such as large common areas, multipurpose rooms dedicated to activities and events, a gymnasium and a medical office. The rooms are cosy, with a hotel-style furniture, while the private gardens will allow the residents and their loved ones to wander outside safely.
In Legnano, the facility’s very nice auditorium will host concerts, conferences and film screenings whether for the residents, their loved ones or the town inhabitants.
Thus Colisée continues its growth in Italy where the number of beds for elderly dependent people is relatively low compared to its european neighbours. In Northern Italy, for 1000 people over 65, there are 32 beds in Lombardy and 29 in Piedmont, compared to 56 in France, 53 in Germany and 46 in Spain.
Those latest operations confirm Colisée’s willingness to take an active part in the deployment of a new offer, targeting the Italian relevant areas, thus meeting the needs of an aging population.
Colisée, a key player in the global old-age dependency sector, has developed a real expertise in elderly people care and well-being. Its network includes 106 facilities in France, Italy and Spain, for a total of 8.416 beds, and close to 70 home-based service agencies in France. In those two business segments, Colisée employs more than 7.700 people. Its majority shareholder is IK Investment Partners. www.groupecolisee.com
